Developer and Co-Leader of Fairview Web Team

2016-2018

- Coded for and co-led the organization of ~10 members maintaining Fairview High School’s completely student-run website, utilized by 10,000+ weekly unique users, through tools such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, jQuery, SCSS, HTML5, and postgreSQL

- Developed projects such as an interactive map using JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML5, an April Fool’s joke with fake cryptocurrency charts using HTML5 canvas elements, and restructuring and redesigning an online tutoring system with Ruby on Rails

- Co-managed, marketed, and developed for a total redesign of fairviewhs.org, assisted teachers and staff in-person, replied to staff emails, mentored new members, developed new marketing strategies, and organized meetings

BVSD IT Web Development Intern

- Developed for Boulder Valley School District’s IT department, serving 30,000+ students

- Coded a custom calendar, made schedules pulling data from Google Sheets, briefly worked with Selenium WebDriver, and started work on a Chrome app utilizing JavaScript to connect to a USB camera

Media Lead and Engineer on Fairview Robotics

2016-2018

- Assisted in planning, building, and using Python to code a robot for Fairview High School’s robotics team to compete in FRC

- Redesigned fairviewrobotics.org multiple times and developed an interactive and responsive JavaScript gallery

- Recreated marketing with new designs, posters, and social media approaches, took thousands of professional-grade photos and assisted in video production

- New marketing contributed to receiving Judge’s Award and an invitation to the Worlds Competition in 2018

Co-Editor-In-Chief of the Royal Banner

2017-2018

- Co-managed over 40 reporters, editors, and photographers for Fairview High School’s newspaper and yearbook, read by 2,500+ students, parents, and faculty

- Facilitated and structured the staff, led meetings, took thousands of photos and designed layouts for pages, and gave feedback on every reporters’ content, such as page designs made with InDesign, photography, and articles

- Completely redesigned print editions and logos through a new styleguide after identifying weaknesses in marketing

- Before named Co-EIC wrote/critiqued dozens of humor/news articles, designed pages, took thousands of photos, made spot the differences in Photoshop

- Created a senior portrait company and conducted 31 sessions, each lasting over an hour and involving sorting ~1,000 pictures and editing 40-60 final images

- Bonded, explored nature, mitigated conflicts, and taught a love for the outdoors with groups of 10 kids aged 6-12 and assisting an instructor

- Led discussions, facilitated friendships, and taught groups of 30 freshmen about high school alongside 3 other Knight Crew Leaders for a semester
